   About The Club 19 Golf & Travel Club
 

Many people have asked us over the years how we got Club19 Golf & Travel  started. Primarily it was our desire to be in the golf business. Our initial venture began in 1976 with the publication of a guide to golf courses in Lake Tahoe. That led to publishing yardage guides for resorts like Pebble Beach, Edgewood, Wildcreek and Tahoe Donner.

In early 1980, a survey of golf professionals indicated that what golf courses really needed was more weekday and weekend afternoon play, which led us to the organization of Club 19 Golf & Travel, a membership program  dedicated to promoting golf savings and travel opportunities for the recreational golfer.

Club 19 Golf & Travel's first “Golf Guide” was published in 1981 with the participation of 36 golf courses in Northern California. In this 29^th edition of our “Golfer’s Entertainment Guide” we have over 500 participating golf courses and a directory of 160 resorts in ten states and British Columbia.

Club 19 Golf & Travel savings go beyond the green fees. Because of our large membership base, we are able to secure low prices on many golf and travel related products and services that we can pass on to you. A free Access Hotel Guide is included in the membership. Classic Golf Vacations to fun golf destinations are also an important part of Club 19. We organize three of them a year for our members to enjoy.  Our vacations include 6 or 7 nights accommodations at four star resorts, 3 rounds of golf with lunch or dinner following golf, breakfasts, a welcome cocktail party followed by dinner, an awards cocktail party followed by dinner, a welcome gift and awards to the winners of our tournaments.
