There are four things to
think about for the perfect putt.
The putt may be the shortest swing you take, but it makes up about 40% of your score. Here's how to save two to ten strokes in just one week. First, develop a pre-shot routine to prepare your putt correctly, eliminate set-up errors and get you focused. Your pre-shot routine
should include: Second, make sure you know the right swing mechanics for the putt: 1) putt with the shoulders (pendulum swing) 2) use a smooth stroke straight back & forth through the ball 3) keep your head down and accelerate the club through the ball 4) stay focused through the shot. Third, learn to read the greens. Putting is about direction and speed and there are several variables that will affect both: elevation, mounds, slopes and even the grain. Fourth, t o execute successful putts you have to practice the above three components to develop confidence.
