The Perfect Golf Swing

There are three things to know for a perfect golf swing.Golf : Golf course action and players hitting the greens Stock Photo

  1. Your pre-shot routine

  2. The swing mechanics for a full swing

  3. Learning to seal the deal

The full swing incorporates the swing mechanics from chipping and pitching, so it is important to know your stuff before trying to perfect the full swing.

First, the pre-shot routine is critical. This means you always precede each shot with the following routine. 1) Target assessment, 2) club selection, 3) go through each set-up skill: grip, posture/stance, ball position, 4) take a practice swing to develop tempo and 5) relax and focus on the target.

Second, learn the correct swing mechanics for the full swing. Most golfers either have incorrect or incomplete swing mechanics that keep them from a perfect golf swing.

Third, knowing the right swing mechanics is only half the deal. To seal the deal you have to create muscle memory of the mechanics. This means practicing the same mechanics so you can reproduce the shot from body memory.

You can learn all the right swing mechanics for all of the four shots of golf from our eBook Blueprint For Golf. It includes over 100 instructional photos and how to create muscle memory so your lower golf scores will last. Click on Blueprint For Golf to begin your journey to better golf.
